composer reference projects

Hi,

in composer, when you mark a project as a reference in project A, you have to install the reference project before you install your project. What happens on subsequent installs? If you make changes to your project, do you have to install the reference project again?

Also, if i have a project B that also references the same reference project that was in project A, do i have to install the reference project again?

If the reference project has not changed, you don't have to install the reference project again when you go to install Project A.

Here's a scenario that I've walked customers through:

1.  Project Z contains types that should be shared across different projects.

2.  Project Y contains artifacts that reference Project Z (Lifecycles, Form Templates, etc.)

Developer D installs Project Z once to the repository.  The types don't change, so D doesn't have to install Project Z ever again to that repository.

D makes incremental changes to Project Y, so he frequently re-deploys Project Y, but doesn't need to re-deploy Project Z.
