Hi All,
i want to know how we can migrate data from opentext livelink 9.5 to Documentum 6.5 .? If you have any suggestion on this topic please respond me so that it will be more helpfull for me.
Thanks
Ashish.
You might want to have a look at Open Migrate at http://www.tsgrp.com/
Never used it myself but I hear that it's a decent thing.
Don't know if it support Livelink out of the box but it is extendable so you could implement your own Livelink stuff as the input
Thnks so much for your help. i will go through this tool and let u know.
in this open migrate i got a war file so can u tell me how to use this tool. i mean its a open source tool so how we can use it for content migration.
As I said, I never used it myself so I can't help
Did you download everything, including documentation ? There should be some installation doc somewhere...
ya i have downloaded all the document related to Open Migrate and i m able to run the Administrator Web Application on Apache Server , but for further use i have to download jar files as well.
Thanks so much.
There is a decent list of migration tools listed at the end of this article that might help you: https://community.emc.com/docs/DOC-1713
In addition, we have had great success using Blue Fish's Migration Workbench ( http://www.bluefishgroup.com/content-migrations/migration-workbench.php ), although, I confess, we have never done a LiveLink migration with it.
Thanks for the help ........it will be helpfull for me
Hi Ashish,
I'm the product manager for OpenMigrate at TSG, and sadly I'll admit you're not alone in having trouble getting our previous releases running. For our upcoming 1.3 release, we've restructured the distribution to be more "quick-start-friendly". We have posted RC1, although the documentation has not yet been finalized. Still, it should be much simpler to get a simple migration running and confirm whether the tool is a good fit.
We have not yet done a LiveLink migration, but are always looking for opportunities to partner with customers who can benefit from the solid foundation OpenMigrate offers and help us develop new adapters.
Either way, we're happy to provide an hour or so of time to get you started, so just let me know if you're still interested.
