Generating DAR Files From Composer

Hi,

I am able to generate a DAR file from the eclipse Composer only once. After that , if i make any changes to any artifacts, and i repeate the process for generating a DAR file, it does not create it. I tried deleting the bin-dar folder, but that does not get created either. Does anyone have any idea on how to get it working?

Do you still have this issue?

I think I remember once seeing a situation where a 0 byte DAR in some subdir was causing something like this!

Search for unnecessary copies of your DAR and see if removing them solves this.

Hi Ramin,

Thanks for your reply. Eventually, i solved it by just using the clean project option, which rebuilds the whole project - That generates a new dar file everytime. But now i keep the build automatically checked, unlike what the guide says, which tells you to keep it unchecked.

We will fix the docs.

If auto-build is already on, you can just grab the DAR out of the bin-dar folder. If it is off, then you need to do right-click, build, etc.

You usually do not need to do a manual clean build unless something went wrong during the auto-build.
