Content Server Installation error

I receive the following error when trying to install Content Server "Create Process -n -w 800 /U DocuRep6 /P ******** /S "DocSqlDev\Documentum" -h- 1 /Q "sp_databases" /o "C:\DOCUME~1\USER1D~1.ST\LOCALS~1\Temp\ismp001\9607105.tmp" error=2"

Do you think this is a local machine error or a DB error?

I have ODBC connectiuon setup and it works fine. The user I am connecting with is a user in the DB with appropriate rights. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I just had the exact same error message during the repository installation. The problem in my case was, that the MS SQL Server client was not fully installed. After re-installing the MS SQL Server client with all options selected the problem was solved.

i think its a local machine problem just check your setup directory and corresponding jar files.

Everything seems fine to me, and the user is an admin on the box. Maybe the files got corrupted upon extracting. I will try to redownload the files and try again. Thanks.

Ok, now I am installing to the server and creating the DB as part of the install, and it gets to the step where it checks case-sensitivty and bombs out. The server is set in case sensitive mode, and the error says The system cannot find the path specified.

Here is how I have the Database Home Directory set up:

\\devsql06\C$\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\Documentum

When I look for the computer name on the SQL server it is all lower case. I also tried all caps with the server name as well. Anyone have any ideas?

Do you mean that you've configured SQL Server to use a case sensitive collation/code page? If not, you'll either need to 1) use a case sensitive default collation for SQL Server if you're letting the Content Server installer create the database or 2) specify a case sensitive collation if you're creating the database ahead of running the Content Server installer.
