How to Customize Documentum 6.5 sp1 advsearchex and search60 (result).

Hi,

We are upgrading our system to Documentum 6.5 sp1.  I'm currently trying to customize the advsearchex_component to display our custom type attributes only on the properties drop down box (All attributes show on the drop down currently).  Also I would like to customize the search results page to show different attributes depending on the custom type that was searched for.  I tried to reference our current code, but it is based on Documentum 5.2.5, so it really doesn't help.  Can anyone provide a sample and how I would go about doing this?  I've read through the countless documentations provided by EMC but I guess I'm a little slow on understanding.  Thanks for your time.

For the first part you can look into WDK developer's guide at the section  "Modifying the search JSP pages" that talks about how to show custom attributes in dropdown.

Second part is not trivial. You may have to customize lot of JSP and Java implementation to achieve to an extent.
