I was recently asked if was can connect a Google App front end to one of our Documentum Repositories. So is anyone here doing that currently? Or thinking about doing that with some ideas on how to connect into the repository?

What do you mean by Google Apps front end ? Or did you mean Google App Engine ?
What I mean is that, we are looking into how to present our respository assets within a Google Sites web page. I have found a Google Gadget from Sword, but not sure if there are other ways to do this? (Sword link: http://sites.google.com/a/sword-group.com/sword-google/Home/gadgets)
We currently present assets through Webtop, SAP, Prodagio, and File Sharing Services but are looking to add Google sites into the mix, keeping the repository as the single source of the truth.
Yeah...I have tried it...Actually I'm genuinely impressed by the two factor authentication in Google apps ..It is mindbogglingly best..
