We want to implement captcha (challenge-response for humans) response via browser. Is there a plugin in WebTop? How do we implement? Any help is very much appreciated.

There's nothing in webtop for that however, there is a lot of captcha stuff out there on the net, lot of it is free.
You could get one of them and add it to the login JSP page
