How to parametrize wsdl in Dynamic Web Services activity??

Hello,

we have implemented a process that uses a Dynamic Web Services activity.

To configure the wsdl we follow the documentation:

To invoke a non-secure Dynamic Web Service activity:
1. In the Activity Inspector, click the Web Service Configuration tab.
2. In the URL Path to the WSDL File box, type the fully qualified URL to the WSDL
file that contains the operation you want to run.

The problem comes when we want to deploy the same process but with a different wsdl url (in another environtment). Is there any way to do it parametrizable?? Nowadays we are changing it in every deployment and it is a great problem!

Anybody knows how to do this?? Thank you in advance

You can follow the following steps

1. Login to iapi32

2. getfile,<session_id>,<activity_id>,<file :ex-c:\config.xml>

3. Open this file <file> and edit the 'WSDL_URL_CONFIG_PARAM' value to the new WSDL url and save the file -(You have to be careful while changing this file)

4. setfile,<session_id>,<activity_id>,<filepath:ex-c:\config.xml>

5. save,<activity_id>

However, it is not recommended to manually edit the activity config file like this.

There is an unsupported utility that we provide to customers on-demand for doing the same. You can let me know if you need this

Yes. You are correct

we have used this utility and it works fine but is not a very good way because you have always to remember to execute this every time you deploy in different repositories...

Another solutions that we have found are:

1) To implement a java method which searches the Dynamic Web Services activities to change. It can be run by a post-action script in the dar file.

2) Avoiding to use Dynamic Web Services and using automatic activities that execute a java method / bof to access to the web service.
