Close button crashes Internet Explorer

On one of my content types, the browser crashes or hangs when I click the close button (in the top frame). My users are experiencing the same issue.

I am using I.E. 6.0. Visual Format is not used in this template.

Does anyone have any clues why this is happening?

Are you using FormApi scripts in this DCT? If this only happens with this DCT then there has to be something that the browser is choking on, does this happen with an IE 5.5 browser? If you enable script debugging will it tell you what line number the browser is crashing on?

What version of TST are you using? I think there was an issue fixed on one of the SPs (SP1, I think) that had a similar description.

My take on it was not on the SP level of TS but the browser version and SP level

There are no FormAPI's on this DCT.

Turning on script debugging does not give any information. Actually now, the template just hangs when I hit the close button.

I am running TeamSite 5.5.2, Templating 5.5.2.0 and no Service Packs that I can see. I think I should start by upgrading my service pack levels. Is SP 1 all I need?

Hi Seth

are you the TeamSite Admin? If you were looking into upgrade then the Admin will have to go to SP3 or 4 as SP1 has already been taken down from the support site. However, this is not a guarantee that the issue will be fixed as it may have to do with the IE version or even something in the DCT

how large is the dct, can you paste it so we can take a look, also does IE 5.5 crash with this template?
