checkbox problem

hi all,

i have 3 buttons : edit,delete and update. i have a datagrid control which displays some records based on some input like date. if i check on a row in the datagrid then only edit and delete buttons are enabled. i can edit the data in the row or i can delete the row. this is working fine, but if i check on more than on row in the datagrid, my edit functionality doesn't work as it takes the last row and populates the fields with it. so i want to disable the edit button when more than one checkbox is clicked. i should only have the option to delete records when more than one checkbox are clicked. how to perform this. i have written a javascript function to get the object id of the row selected in the datagrid. how to achieve this. any idea please.................

can you try the following. In you actionmenuitem for the Edit button, you can define a property dynamic = 'singleselect', so that the Edit button will be enabled only when one row is selected

Thanks but it is not my solution as i need to select a row in datagrid returned values. the edit button and all other buttons are in the jsp page. its a jsp form with few buttons,datagrid.. can you please specify how to select a row from the datagrid values. it will be better approach i think regardless of giving checkboxes. if i can select row from the datagrid values then i think my problem is solved as we can restrict to select only one row in the datagrid values.do you know how to select a row. there is an attribute in datagrid control "rowselection" but i dont know how to make use of it. if any one used it please let me know............

What version of wdk are you using. rowselection is always true by default. To select the row you can try the following. Also can you attach your code, so that I could give you some pointers.
