update users in roles

i have two checkboxes. lets say checkA and checkB. if I select checkA then a user will be added to some xRole. and if I select checkB then a user is added to yRole. i have successfully done it. but when i try to edit the form i have the option to reselect these checkboxes and this time if I uncheck checkA box and select checkB then the user in the xRole must be removed and it should be added in yRole.

i tried but i didnt get the effective result. can any one tell how to achieve this............using DFC programming how to transfer users from one role to another

If you have to remove a particular user and add him to another role(which is a group) you would need to do the following

IDfGroup xRole = (IDfGroup) sess.getGroup("<xRole_group_name>");
xRole.removeUser("<name_of_the_user_to_remove>");

xRrole.addUser("<name_of_the_user_to_add>");

xRole.save();

IDfGroup yRole = (IDfGroup) sess.getGroup("<yRole_group_name>");

Forgot to mention that sess refers to session which is got from a Session Manager using either getSession or newSession API.
