Check IRM Document Owner Rights

For document owner, he/she should be potentially have Edit and Copy rights. However, it also depends on the Server Restriction and and Group permissions.

How can I get the server restriction settings and group permissions by IRM Client Integration API so that I can determine whether the owner should have Edit and Copy right?

I can't say at this point when it will be included but it is now on our list for future consideration

If the issue has been added to the enhacement list, may I know the enhancement number?

We think that it is missing feature instead of enhancement. Since the document owner will potentially have Edit and Copy rights by using IRM Client for Microsoft Office, the IRM SDK should able to provide the same feature as well.

Besides get the server restriction settings and group permissions to determine whether the owner should have Edit and Copy right, can we have the irmCheckContentAccPermission() function return the permission by taking the "IsOwner" as part of consideration as well.

Appreciated if you could help to look into this case. Thanks.

Update from the IRM team as follow:

"... recommend to wait for EMC to fix this in the core product. This way Open Office plug-in would be consistent with our other plug-ins. Editing issue will be resolved once we add item#2 (OO list from Tok Sung) in the core product.."

As stated in the another thread https://community.emc.com/thread/3500, once this is availabe in the SDK, does it mean we got to do addtional customisation to achieve this feature?
