upgrade xml applications, convert DTD to schema

HI, we are finally planning to upgrade to DCTM v6 and we have some existing xml applications based on DTD documents. We think there might be some advantage longterm to making the documents schema-based. (This upgrade is not planning for xDB, but only existing Documentum 5.3 to 6.x with virtual docs written with custom DTD).

Where can I find best practices for schema-based xml applications that are not using xDB for Documentum 6.x? Are there examples of xml schema that use dctm: namespace and include other .xsd, some with other namespaces beside dctm:?

Hi,

there are some instructions and samples on how to use XSDs with XML apps in Chapter 3 of the "EMC Documentum XML Application Version 6.5 Development Guide". I don't think that we currently have anything on best practices, I'll poke our tech writers :-)
