Trouble installing Documentum Developer edition on Windows XP Sp3

I am facing a Documentum Developer edition install issue on Windows XP Sp3.

The installation error is .
Installer directory validation has failed. The path, C:\Documents and
Settings\AMIT\Desktop\DocumentumDeveloperEdition65SP1WindowsSql, should
not contain whitespace

Does anyone know how to resolve it?

Is this a joke? The answer is in the error message: No white spaces in the directory path where you install, so no "C:\Documents and
Settings...

Just move your installation under c:\ it should be working just fine. it's kinda stupid set up not sure why.

Bacham, your answer is incorrect and your approach is harsh. Try to avoid interacting with people in the future.

I had the same issue.

Move the extracted files to the root directory and then run documentumSetup.exe. The previous answer was partially correct.

I am with Bacham, people could do with some harsh lessons. For sure error messages are often cryptic but that one did actually explain the problem.... it is not the first time I have seen posts where the error message is clear and the solution should be obvious

So am I. Too many people not RTFM'ing. At the end of the day, they make you and everybody else waste a lot of time on RTFM questions instead of answering and solving the real stuff.

I guess Hicham was having a bad day when he answered. When I have a bad day, I don't go at all on the forums because I know it's going to end up bad, I guess Hicham still does
