TMP system variable on NT receiver server
swong74
Hallo,
What is the TMP directory used for on the OpenDeploy receiver on an NT? We have an NT box running OpenDeploy and WebLogic. Our concern is that TMP=c:\winnt\temp and it could fill up being shared between the two. We have a pretty small C: partition and WebLogic apparently insists on a C:\Winnt\temp setting. If TMP is just set as a place holder and not really utilized by OpenDeploy receiver for anything, then that's fine. However, if it writes to it and grows, is it possible to set a different system variable for OpenDeploy like say IWOVTMP? I don't recall a temp variable set on UNIX. But UNIX tmp is standardly /tmp. :-)
Thanks.
Ciao ?:-)

The directory pointed to by TMP is used by OpenDeploy during deployments as a temporary scratch area. It doesn't put any of the deployed data there.
You cannot change TMP to be another variable. Fyi, there is an open feature request (#34958) for allowing you to do this. I know, I know, standard answer from the product manager!
