"DM_FT_INDEX_F_FULLTEXT_ENGINE_INIT_ERROR" Error message

Hi, all:

We are using 6.5SP2 now. When i use simple search(both DA and Webtop), it told me the search has failed. And ask me to view messages for details.
I do this, and the Message Viewer show me the following messages:

Query execution error for DTS65SP2: Unable to process query.
Query execution error for DTS65SP2: [DM_FT_INDEX_F_FULLTEXT_ENGINE_INIT_ERROR]fatal:"Query Plugin failed to successfully initialize: General failure"

#"DTS65SP2" is the name of repository name that we connected.

#This happend after full text index configuration.

Is anyone who know why this happened? And is there any solution to get rid of the error?

Hi,

The above issue occurs while searching because from the query plugin, initialization on 16099 port failed.

The resolution for this issue is to enable port 15100 from the query plugin to avoid using 16099 port.
This can be done by manually add qrserver_host and port information to dm_ftengine_config object using API command. The steps to perform this operation is as follows:

retrieve,c,dm_ftengine_config
dump,c,l
append,c,l,param_name
fds_qrserver_host
append,c,l,param_value
<Index Server host name>
append,c,l,param_name
fds_qrserver_port
append,c,l,param_value
15100
save,c,l
dump,c,l
(* make sure they are added to the parameters list correctly.)
reinit,c
