Does IAPI32 invoke TBOs?

Hi,

I've been away from the development side of things for a while, and have recently been wondering if IAPI32 invokes TBO's in D6 and onwards?  I know it didn't in 5.3 SP2 (like I said, I've been away a while!) and was wondering if this changed with the move away from the DMCL layer.

Yes. It does.

Since we got rid of DMCL in D6, we have assimilated essentially all the DMCL logic into DFC, christened DMCL emulator.

There is a small dll which replaces heavy C++ DMCL and just calls into DFC for all old DMCL tasks. IAPI32 also uses this emulator.

So as everything goes thru DFC, all the TBOs for types are loaded whenever you get/create a instance of them.
