How to remove PT-Comments from HTML output

I noticed that any XML-Comments I inserted in a Presentation Template outside the pure HTML Code will be copied into the generated HTML file. Well I use comments a lot do structure the PT and they are totally meaningless in the Output Page. Does anybody know of a workaround? (Besides suggestions to comment only inside <iw_perl>-Tags)
