Hi All ,

I want to write & run simple application on Fedora Linux Machine (64 bit) to list all cabinets on Contest Repository .

What things I need to install in Fedora Linux machine? If I am not wrong , I just need DFC jar files right?

Do I need special java version ? Please guide me i am new.

jdk 1.5 is recommended.

For a simple app like that, you should just need the dfc.jar and a valid dfc.properties file in the classpath. The DFC Development Guide should give you all you need to know with its examples on how to connect and get a list of cabinets. I would recommend taking the opportunity to also become familiar with the DfLogger class when you write your app.
