Hi All,I have got this problem of not getting the WDK Eclipse plugin working in Eclipse IDE as the first step of WDK 5.3 development environment setup.I downloaded the latest plugin from http://sourceforge.net/projects/wdkeclipseplug/and followed instruction fromhttp://customernet.emc.com/developer/Component_Exchange/WDKEclipsePlugin.htmMy environment is as followsEclipse 3.5Windows XPDFC 5.3.0.621JRE 1.5.0_05There are no errors in the Eclipse Logs and the configuration file shows the following status of plugin:*** Plug-in Registry:com.documentum.devprog.eclipsePlugin.wdk (1.2.0.008) "WDK Eclipse Plug-in" [Starting]com.ibm.icu (4.0.1.v20090415) "International Components for Unicode for Java (ICU4J)" [Active].......Although i noticed that WDK plugin is not signed in the plug in details window. It shows the certificate broken.Any pointers on what may have gone wrong here? Any suggestion to fix the above?Thanks for any help.
If my memory serves me well, the plugin was developed and certified on Eclipse 3.0 or 3.1. There have been some significant changes in Eclipse since then so that could be the problem.
What happens when you try to open the plugin's views ?
No WDK plugin shows in Plugin Views. Yes i have seen this before working with Eclipse 3.1 with Java 1.4_0_8 i think. I have even tried re installing Eclipse 3.1 and switching back Java version but of no use.
Thanks for your input Francois.
Hello;
I am the new maintainer of the Eclipse WDK Plugin. I have not tested it against Eclipse 3.5, it is tested against 3.3 and 3.4. I just posted a new packaged version of the Plugin on source forge. Shutdown Eclipse, Download the plugin from here https://sourceforge.net/projects/wdkeclipseplug/ and place it in your plugins directory. Then restart Eclipse, Goto the menu Window | View. Navigate to EMC Developer Program and click the triangle. You will see all of the plugins available.
Please let me know if you experience any issues.
Thanks
