dm_group with wrong values in i_supergroups_names attribute

Hi,

I have a Documentum 6.5 SP1 system running and noticed some groups have incorrect values in the i_supergroups_names attribute.

As an example consider the following groups: group A, group B, group C and group D. group D is a member of group C. group C at some point was a member of group A but now is a member of group B (and not group A). What is happening is that group C and group D have both group A and group B in their i_supergroups_names attribute when they shouldn't.

Is there a way to rebuild the i_supergroups_names attribute? Can I simply remove the incorrect values or is there a more complex procedure?

Hi,

We had a similar situation. If I remember well, the problem was caused beacuse we tried to use DQL to update groups, to add members to groups_names column - but that's not enough as not all "computed column" reflected this change. So the best way to manage groups is through DFC.

We made the most safe way: we created a new group and added the needed users, renamed the references from the old to this new group, and later we deleted the "erroneous" group.
