PostInstallation procedure for Documentum Developer edition on Windows XP Sp3

Hi,

I have installed successfully the dev edition on windows xp sp3. Now when I am trying to start the jboss app server (by using run boot file in /bin dir)I am getting the below error.

There were no installation errors..Am I missing nything or doing something wrong?

I have exactly the same issue on Windows 2003 R2 server. As far as I can tell with my limited Java experience, no Jboss apps have actually been deployed.

I gave up after many attempts on XP sp3 with a different issue "not finding jsafeFIPS.far" and failiing whilst trying to deploy DFC :-(

In all cases I have built with fresh builds, applied the relevant patches and .net 2.0 & java 1.5.0.16 frameworks.

I'm having the same problem with 6.6 on XP SP3:

ver/production/conf/jboss-service.xml could not be opened, does it exist?

The install worked at first, but after rebooting JBoss failed to start. DocBroker & Docbase are both running without problems. It's just JBoss that is having trouble. Anyone got any ideas?

It may be a bit late, but I stumbled over this thread searching for some other solution. In my installation on a virtual PC running Windows 7, the jboss install path is different from what your error messages are saying. On my computer, the correct path is C:/documentum/jboss4.3.0/server/DctmServer_MethodServer/config. The subfolder "production" does not exist on my machine. You may need to modify the path in the jboss configuration files.
