Is role back possible in DFS

Hi,

We have a scenario like creating a object type and updating a register table respectively. if my updation of register table fails, we have to revert back the creation of object type. please suggest me out, we have anything like roleback for that transcation or session???

There are transcation support(Session transaction,Operation transaction etc).and you can use abort method to implement rollback when needed.

You may look into DFC dev guide and use DFC's implementation for your application..

DFS supports transactional service operations within the context of a single DFC instance, but not flexible.

For your scenario, you can create your own custom service, and encapsulates the 2 DFS operations in a single

custom service operation.

To enable transactions, set the USER_TRANSACTION_HINT runtime property in the service context,

context.SetRuntimeProperty(IServiceContext.USER_TRANSACTION_HINT,IServiceContext.TRANSACTION_REQUIRED);

For details pls refer to DFS Development Guide.If DFS cannot meet your needs, DFC provides flexible ways to enable transaction.

I have tried this and it doesn't work . I attach the code (I think it is correct)

1) I invoke the DFS core services locally

2) I have configured the context to apply transactionallity

But the folders ALWAYS ARE CREATED!!! It does not do the rollback!!

anyone knows why it does not work???
