Can't set a type to Obsolete in Composer

Hi there,

In the old days, in Developer Studio, when creating an object type, it was possible to set its lifecycle to Obsolete so it wouldn't appear in the type list for some components (New, import...)

I can't find this option in Composer (6.5 SP1).

Is it just me or should I go to PowerLink to log a Bug/Change request ?

You are correct; Composer does not offer this flag.

Is this something you want to install/update with this flag forever, even into a new Repository? If not, then you could just remove it from your Composer project and mark the type in the Repository using DA.

The thing is I have a type tree dm_document -> corp_doc -> site_doc

!-> region_doc

etc.

I need to be able to let my users create/import Site docs or Regional Docs but not corp_doc. Corp doc is only the handler of the common properties.

So yes, it should be there forever, even in new repositories, etc...

If you are using Webtop as the client application, have you considered using Presets?

At the time being, the other alternative is for you to update the type's "Obsolete flag" in the Post-install Docbasic script of your Composer project.
