Attribute Aspects in Search/Display

Hi,
If I create a custom attribute aspect that contains new attributes to be attached to a base object type, how can I display these attached aspect atrributes in the seach/advanced search screen of the base object type or does it happen by default?
For instance, if I have a document type called as DocmentX and an aspect called AspectY containing attributes Y1, Y2, Y3. When I search for DocumentX using webtop's advanced search feature, will the attributes Y1, Y2 and Y3 appear in the attribute list for DocumentX?
Is there a way to customize display for an object type to display aspect's attributes?

Hi,

Currently user cannot view the attached aspect attributes for any object instance either in webtop/DA.

You can use below dfc api, which will list all the attributes along with aspect attributes.

IDfId idfId = session.getIdByQualification("dm_sysobject where r_object_id = 'XXXXXXXX');

IDfSysObject sysObj = (IDfSysObject) session.getObject(idfId);
Enumeration enumAttrs = sysObj.enumAttrs();

Aspect attribute can be distinguished with "." in between aspectname and attributename (e.g item.category)

Thanks for your response Sameer. I was aware of the API but was just wondering if those attributes can automatically be displayed in Webtop.

HI ,

Am Having the same problem ,

Even i attached the Aspect to the document am not able to see the attribute list in taskspace .

If you have achieved this ,Can you please let me know the configuration .
