How to update life cycle using Composure

Hi All,

I am using Composure 6.5 SP2. We have life cycle with custom user action modules. Whenever I make changes to class implements IDfLifecycleUserAction, IDfLifecycleUserEntryCriteria... auto build script builds compiles classes and builds jar file. And using this jar file in jar definition artifacts in my Documentum project and using in my custom lifecycle action module.

When I install project it is not taking the changes made... however if I go to DA and destroying life cycle object and modules/jars and after re-install Documentum project it is working. Is there any way to update life cycle definition with out uninstalling?

Who is explicitly updating the jar file associated with the JARDef artifact used in the Module that your LifeCycle references?

The ant build script runs when I build project generates .jar file ... which is referenced by jar definition artifact.

When I install Composure project, installer is updating the jar file under /System/Modules/<ModuleName>/ but the method server is not taking the updated jar file. I tried restarting repository and method server but still didn't work.

Howerver when I uninstall and destroy lifecycle and modules and after reinstalling lifecyle it is working.

After your ANT task builds your .jar file you need to update the copy of that .jar that is kept inside the Composer project. This can be done with the Composer ANT Task "importContent" or through the UI. Do you do that? If not, then the old .jar is in the Composer project and that's the one that gets deployed.

Assuming you have done that, I can think of one other possibility. Modules must be versioned so BOF picks up the new content. To make sure, please change the Module's upgrade option to something different than it current setting, Save, then set it to "Version", Save.
