cgi task

I am looking at building a CGI task into a worklfow. But to test, I am simply using a custom menu item. Is there a way to invoke mtmetaproxy.cgi from a custom cgi form on a SELECTED file.

Basically we want the user to click a file, then kick off the menu item. We are saving it's mirror file (i.e. the French version) in EA's and adding it to the form. Then we want to tag options, one for each file.

Does anyone know how this can be achieved, or possibly an example of calling metatagger from a custom menu item.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!

mtmetaproxy.cgi can be used for both custom menu item and workflow cgitask. This is an example entry in the iw.cfg file

custom_menu_item_metataggerdata="File", "Set Metataggerdata", "mtmetaproxy.cgi", "all", "scrollbars=yes,resizable=yes,width=640,height=545"
