WDK Books

Hi All,

Is there any resource to learn WDK 6.5? I dug google and did not find any resource to learn WDK. The only resource available is WDK 6.5 Development guide. Are there any hidden resources from where we can learn WDK 6.5?

I also find one from EMC WDK tutorial where I see very less information.

I am looking for any book like Content Management Foundations for Documentum. I believe documentum experts can start writing a book on WDK as WDK is the core product for EMC.

If EMC people are watching this thread, I suggest to provide a tutorial which covers entire topics from Architecture to customizations in wiki format.

Anyway best documentation is provided with official courses. I think that material is not publicated and you can't obtain it unless you have a course. I mean, you can't buy or get that documentation from the web.

I think there are 2 related courses:

WDK Fundamentals

WDK Advanced

The books provided with those courses are very interesting.

Here in this website you got lot of stuff to start developing usign WDK.

In component exchange too, you got many examples starting from HelloWorld component.

Hi,

I agree with you that one should attend classes to learn any proprietary solution. However since EMC has released Developer Edition which can be downloaded by any one on the earth, I feel that this is the time that one should come up with good tutorials on building documentum applications.

As I see from the past year or so Alfresco is gaining more attention all over, EMC should focus on creating more resources to learn documentum. I completely agree that this community portal is one of the initiatives to do so.

When we google for sharepoint or alfresco, we can get more novice, advanced tutorials for developing applications on top of them. There are several freebies too. When can we expect in documentum. Are we still far away from that?

I am expecting resources which will not take life time to learn the framework. Documentum Content Managememnt Foundations is one I like it as it covers the core functionality of documentum.

However I feel that it would be nice if some one come up with WDK books as well.
