Whether the Full-text Index Server effect search function of the DAM?

Hi all:

      Content Server of documentum v6.5 SP1 includes one component—Full-text Index Server.
      I want to know whether the Full-text Index Server effect search function of the DAM or not.
      When I did not install the Full-text Index Server,I can use search function of DAM flexiblly.But after I installed Index Server that cannot find file when I input file name.

Hi,

When Index Server is present, DAM (Webtop) tries to use it for simple queries (even in advanced search when you search on object name only).

Index up your repository and the index server (and thus content server) will find your object, at least after indexing is done. You can still use DQL for exact maches.
