UCF without ACS server

apriam_i

Hello,

Is it possible to run UCF without using ACS or BOCS servers?

In my installation of Content Server 6.5sp2 UCF doesn't work when ACS servlet shutted down.

Make sure you disable the ACS server in the app.xml first.

Strange - if ACS dies, content delivery should fall back to the app server. At least, that's what I observed in a 6.0 SP1 environment.

It does "fall back", but sometime you will see some intermittent failure messages. If customers see those messages and do not have a strict performance requirement, I tend to tell them to disable ACS.
