my name is Claus and we would like to test the CMIS software in combination with our applications. I had some specal basis questions to the system requrements:

1. its possible to let the system running in a Documentum 5.3 environment?

2. To use a content server 5.3 SP5 or SP6 ???

3. To use a DFC 5.3 SP5 or SP6 ???

We are testing CMIS CS 6.5 SP1,actually I do not know is it work with previous version of CS

Claus-

First, I would emphasize the different between release and pre-release

software in a production environment. The latter is not recommended for use

in a production environment, and this CMIS EAP software is no different.

That being said, the EAP leverages DFC 6.5, which does indeed support D5.3,

D6 and D6.5 repositories and Content Servers. Your 5.3 environment should be

current with the latest service pack (i.e. D5.3 SP6).

Finally, I would point out that the current EA release is based on the v0.5

draft of the proposed CMIS standard, which is approaching a v0.7 Public

Review state. I believe that EMC is readying a new EA release that will

support a more current version of the proposed CMIS standard. Waiting for

this is worth considering, especially if you plan to focus on CMIS

consumption across different repositories (i.e. mixed ECM provider

environment).

I too looking to integrate CMIS with D7 to connect to jboss portal. Can you please put some light here?

I am not sure where to start, as of now done D7 setup, deployed cmis war file and setup done for jboss portal also.

Yes, you can use opencmis as a client library to consume the services exposed in the emc-cmis.war

Hi BansaBabita,

After the installation, you could test it using opencmis client or Liferay

DL portlet to test your installation. I tested but found some error with

my EMC CMIS installation. The D7 version is a bit different than the one I

installed which is 6.7.

I hope EMC CMIS guys can see our message and reply.

My EMC-CMIS 6.7 sp1 installation seems to have some odd issues.

Here are a couple of logs:

The issued query statement is: 'SELECT cmis:objectId FROM cmis:folder

WHERE IN_FOLDER('root')'.

"QUERY" action failed. The string specified for an

ID value ('root') was not a valid Documentum dmID.

The string specified for an ID value ('root') was not

a valid Documentum dmID.

Caused by: com.emc.documentum.fs.services.core.CoreServiceException:

"QUERY" action failed. The string specified for an ID value ('root') was

not a valid Documentum dmID.

Line 40427: DEBUG
