Parsing OpenDeploy log files in 5.5.1 and later
rahulk
We are thinking about upgrading our so many open deploy base/receivers to version 5.6 from 4.5.1. The trouble I have is with locating and processing deployment log files on base servers.
In OD 4.5.1, iwdeploy command returns the name of log file, which we feed to next process which parses that file to generate list of new/updated files or directories deployed as well as deleted ones. We use these lists to run data deploy for deploying metadata.
In OD 5.6, iwodstart does not return the name of deploy log file. Also it appends log to same file that has a long name, which is not useful if you need to generate the list of files deployed in a particular deployment. I am wondering if there is any other way to generate list of files deployed, which can be used for post-deployment processing.
Thanks,
Rahul

OD 5.6 has an in-memory manifest that can be parsed by a DNR for each deployment leg.
Or you can turn on the reporting feature and get the list of deployed files from the reports database. (The Admin UI will also give you the list by querying the reports database.)
