Documentum Dev Edition SP2, any success installing with an existing Ms SQL Server 2008

Hi,

I asked the question in the other forum (ECN > Connect > Documentum Community ) and I did not get any answer so far, so I ask here:

I am having problems installing Documentum Dev Edition SP2 with an existing SQL Server 2008; basically the setup can not connect to the database with SQLCMD.

I would like to know if anyone succeeeded in installing the Dev Edition without using the included SQL Server express.

Hi, I'm having the same isue.

I have Operating system Windows 7 (Yes i know that this SO is not listed in supported SO), my problem for me is that SQL Express 2005 that is instaled with Docomentum Dev Edition not had SP 3, I serach in microsoft.com and in the workaround says that is a problem with SP3, I have to install SQL Express an then launch Windows Update to update sql server express 2005, i did it, but the result is the same.

I read the log text file, and the problem is an execution of an script (installerScript40432.BAT), this bat try to start SQL Server, but if the Windows Update dont had finished to update then SQL can not start (in widows 7 an Windows Vista)

I install sql server 2008 express edition, with windows update search the SP1 for SQL express server 2008 and upthen it, I configure, then I install Documentum but when I try to install in the field of SQL administrator y put thew sa user and the password but the problen continue.

I search white papers or other instruction for install Documentum but I can't find nothing.

I hope that somebody help me to install Documetun.
