Problem with installation Documentum 6.5 sp2

When I install Documentun 6.5 sp2 there is a following error:

I now about this problem in official documentation : The Microsoft bug described in KB article 968749 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/
968749), not help.

Somebody now in what problem here, please help resolve it.

Are you using any special characters in your installation owner password?

If yes, can you try with a clean text password?

I finded a problel. It was in java 6.0, so I'am re-install java to 1.5 and everything is worked.

Even I came across this problem, but I did couple of things to resolve the issue.

1. upgrade java version to 1.5.0_22 ( I think it should work with 1.5.0_16)

2. Installed windows xp service pack 3.

After installing the java and windows xp sp3. Install a fresh copy on the machine deleting "Documentum" directory on c drive and also c:\Program Files.

Delete the register also. To delete from registry follow below step

Click on Windows Start -> run -> type "regedit" in Open text box -> HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE

under software select "Documentum" and delete.
