DFC 6.5 SP2 DMCL Trace

Hi,

I just ran into the problem that I want to see the DMCL Trace for a specific operation.

I reviewed the documentation and dfcfull.properties and there are several properties I can adjust the set tracing options. But I seem to be missing a tracing option for DMCL.

I remember a presentation where someone mentioned this property (available from DFC 6.0 ongoing):

dfc.tracing.combineDMCL

But in 6.5 SP2 (or previous) this option seems no longer be available or recognized by the DFC.

So my question is how can I enable DMCL tracing via configuration?

Hi,

The dfc.tracing.combineDMCL is no longer used. Several keys are obsolete in 6.5, namely:

dfc.tracing.combineDMCL
dfc.tracing.compactMode
dfc.tracing.recordParameters
dfc.tracing.recordReturnValue

You have to read the CS Administration Guide to learn about the new tracing facilities but the comments in dfcfull.properties are a good start.

thanks for your answer.

I reviewed the CS Administration guide but there is no hint on how to enable DMCL tracing at all. Is DMCL trace deprecated at all?

I also checked the tracing options in dfcfull.properties and the documentation but I'm not really happy with the output I get.

Can anyone recommend tracing options which are usefull for tracing?

DFC running in debug log mode produces a lot of output which seems not very usefull to track down an issue.
