I want to give super user credentials in my DFS service itself rather than in consumer code

Hi All,

My client requirement is that i have to upload the document in repository from external aplication so I have to put super user credential in my DFS custom service itself rather than mentionaing explicitly in consumenr code.

so that consumer will not be interacting with our credentials.please if some body have implemented same requirment share the sample code with me.

is it possible and how ?

I have attached the developed service code also for reference.

how to approach for this. the users who will upload ducoments by default will be super user.

you can achieve this by whatever secure approach. Such as encryption/decryption, etc. I don't have such experience.

Not a fan of hard coding user creditenials in code... at minimum put the values into a config file, so it can be changed if required.

Personally I perfer to have separate accounts for all external interfaces. That way each account can be manged separately and giving just enough permissions to do their job. Also enable auditing of these service accounts to keep an eye out for any abuse.

Would also suggest that the account can only see certain folders.Documentum do this with the BOF registery user.The password for that user is encrypted, suggest you do the same. Details for that should be in Content Server Admin manuals
