Glossary of terms

Greetings, we're implementing 6.5 and I haven't located a glossary of terms in any of the manuals. My current problem is --what are the definitions of the column heading attributes in folder/file view? I've been tasked in defining a default view for our implementation. Is there a way to get my hands on the definitions?

Beyond this immediate task, if there a reference work anywhere that provides such a glossary for all the fields/attributes of Documentum 6.5??

I think you are looking for the object reference manual. See attached.

If you have a Powerlink account, you can get this document in same area as Content Server documentation.

That would be excellent if you could send it. I'm in the role of liaison between IM, e-Biz and Engineering groups and also will probably be a superuser or admin, so this kind of info is crucial.

what I was looking for was a little more high level, that is, there's a goodly number of potential column names I can confiure for myself in preferences, would like to know the definitions of those. The attrib shown on the screenshot--

There is no "higher-level" document. Look under the SysObject type in the Object Reference Manual for all the attributes associated with the generic sysobject type. You should be able to guess the attribute name based on the attribute label that is displayed in your screenshot.

Hi All,

I have an requirement of setting the Permanent_link value to false for all the objects.

Issue:

Once a document is created and flowed to a workflow and the approver rejects the document .

The owner of the document is not able to add a new version on the same document which it was rejected in workflow...

So when we take the Log and analyse we foumd

[DM_RELATION_E_NEED_PRIV]error: "The current user Manikandan Kumaresan has insufficient privileges to save or destroy DM_ANNOTATE relation."; ERRORCODE: 100; NEXT: null

Wat we tried is with the Database Owner , we updated the Permanent_link value to be FALSE which was TRUE.

Then the owner tried to version the document , It gets version..

So will this be taken as a fix for all the documents .

so that the user can version the document which is rejeected by the workflow...

Wat are the sideeffects of this solution of setting permananet_link -> FALSE,..

Is this preferable solution?

Kindly suggest me ASAP.....
