Setting up Document notifications in webtop

Is there a way to setup notifications so that people who are not necessarily the owners of a document receive a notification if the document is modified? Let me know. Thanks.

Yes, you can subscribe others

Tools -> Subscribe Others

As far as I know, Subscribe others makes the selected document appear in user's Subscriptions view. "Turn on notifications" is another function in Webtop, out of the box you cannot add others to receive notifications in e-mail. After some decompiling and development maybe you can do that, but I don't know how it's exactly solved, so maybe only privileged users can do that...

Hello,

You can do it with a combination of the two previous answers:

- Select the document

- Go to Tools menu

- Select Subscribe

- Go to Subscriptions node

- Select the document again

- Go to Tools menu

- Select Turn on notifications

The notifications are for available for dm_checkin event by default,

You will need to do some configuration changes to your webtop instance if you need to get notified about different events like checkout, destroy, save, fetch, etc.
