Hi,
I am new to DFS services and I have seen some discussions related to productivity layer. Can someone please explain or where can I find the information about the productivity layer?
Thanks

The productivity layer simply refers to the the jars (for java) or dll (for .net) that you can use to access DFS services. The simplest way to consume the DFS services is to use these pre-packaged libraries.
If you don't use these libraries you would need to have your IDE or tooling generate client side proxies based on the WSDL definition of the DFS services. The productivity library guarantees a stable API that makes calling DFS services remotely transparent to the developer.
