URGENT: Register or add new image format (dm_document) like MO: DCA & DCX

Dear All,

How we can register Unknown image format to Documentum repository (WebTop). I have tried to import new document (dm_document) but I am getting Unknown image format error.

I have followed the below steps:-

File-> Import

Select-> Add Files-> Select Files MO: DCA document (12.mda)

Select Next

Format type not selected automatically, displayed Unknown

I want to know how we can register new image format in dm_document.

In DA, click on Formats node. Create a new format object and provide all the relevant info - file extension being the important one. This is how the import component associates file extension with appropriate format.

Hi Johnny Gee,

I have gone through all the steps you have proposed to register new image format with DA (Documentum Administrator) but on the Preferences Formats -> format tab option available only for “Custom Viewing and Editing Applications”.

If you really want this format to appear in the lsit of formats, you really need to do as Johnny said.
