deleting directory from staging

hi...

i have a folder in staging , which i wan to delete, without deleting it fromt the workarea.. how can i do it..

an help.

Copy the folder throught the IFS and then submit the workarea with "Overwrite" checked off ...

The copy the folder back to the WA.

dude, you seem to have a habit of posting as little information as possible when asking a question....

Why do you want to do this?
Are you OK without versioning?
Your staging area is out of synch with WA.

You COULD copy, rename, and move the directory. Delete the original, then do a submit (without the renamed directory) with overwrite to delete the staging directory, then move and rename the directory back to its original location. BUT, anytime you submit and include this dir, it will get moved to staging unless you filter it in autoprivate.cfg. Page 144 in 552 admin guide. Otherwise, just go on Y drive and delete it (with obvious drawbacks), then set up the Autoprivate.cfg.
