call preview page from workflow

Is there any command line utility or api by which you can create preview pages.
Similar to "iwgen", i want to create dummy preview pages which will be called from my workflow.
Users will not be specifying an output file and I am not using TeamSite for generating the presentation pages otherwise.

I could have some logic to have a random page name generated. But that would be duplicating what "preview page" does.
Hence, i was wondering.....

In the past, I used iwpt_compile.ipl to generate a preview page via workflow. In the syntax, I didn't give -ofile value and it takes STDOUT by default for it.
You may want to look into that in CLT guide.
