OD & DD 5.6 upgrade? any issues/thoughts?

Hello,

we will be upgrading next week and would like to know if anyone who has already upgraded has experienced any issues or has any comments. are you glad you updated? Smiley Happy

i personally havent had 1 entirely smooth upgrade of any IW product yet.

Hi -
OpenDeploy 5.6 has a different in-stream log/manifest than version 5.5.1 that it keeps in memory while it executes.

In the unlikely cast that you have any code that depends on analyzing the in-stream log, you'll have to look at modifying it to use the new manifest format. It is possible to have OpenDeploy 5.6 use the previous log format, but then you won't be able to use the new reporting features.

From which releases of OD and DD are you upgrading? If from OD 5.5.1 and DD 5.5.2, it will be much smoother than from 4.x.

Careful with this one...I cannot even install OD 5.6, am working with support but not getting anywhere yet with the issue. After the failed install leaves OD useless! Something about a severe error cannot find image directory. We previously had 5.5.2 installed luckily only our dev box is messed.
