Parameter Substitution on Submit

TS 5.5.2 – Solaris

Most source code control tools will do parameter substitution on files when they are checked in. Does anyone know if Teamsite supports such a thing? I thought it did but I can’t find it in the manuals anywhere. Any suggestions on how I could maintain version numbers when files are submitted would be gratefully received.
