IWTMP xtension adding to deployed files

My TS 552 with OD 551 on win2k. I observed a strange problem on my deployed files. All the files are deploying to target server. But adding extra file extension as iwtmp. For example I have a file called abc.asp. When I deploy it onto target, it's shwoing the file name "abc.asp.iwtmp". Does anyone know what is wrong with my deployment?

If you are using transactional deployment then OD will transfer all the files with .iwtmp extension (without overwriting the original), and once the transfer is complete, it will "rename" the .iwtmp files to the original file names.
Do you see any errors in the log files ?

Slight correction...

Non-transactional deployments will create temporary files with the .iwtmp extension. These should get cleaned up after the file is successfully deployed.

Transactional deployments use the .iwold and .iwnew extensions. Again, all should be cleaned up at the end of the deployment.

There was a thread on this topic some time ago.

Sounds like maybe the deployment died before it completed.
