Template Preview a different .tpl

I just added a new branch and copy the presentation tpl from the old branch to the new branch. For some reason, when I tried to preview, it previews a different tpl. This is properly a beginner question, but do I link my tpl to the new branch. Is it template.cfg?

Here is the path and attached is the template.cfg
default\main\internet\WORKAREA\shared\templatedata\Indexes\Functional\presentation\Employee Resources.tpl

It should ideally ask you for you to choose the tpl, since you are having 4 different tpls for the Functional data type. Does it ask you to choose the tpl?

Yes it does. I picked the employee resources.tpl but the preview is totally different from the tpl

It might be a caching issue. Try deleting the cached files from the browser also when you preview try refreshing the page

Did it work after clearing the cache or refreshing the page? Your templating.cfg looks fine.

I'm experiencing the same previewing problem

After I refresh the page, the proper output is rendered.

I've cleared my temp files from my browser, but still have the problem.

Any ideas about why this is happening?

You might want to change the settings in your browser to never cache files.
In IE click on
Tools/Internet Options
Then on the general tab click settings
check for new versions of stored pages - every visit to the page

Another thing, I would always avoid using spaces in file and directory names.
Can cause problems sometimes in some situations.

My browser is cfg that way and I agree about the file/dir naming conventions.

Any other ideas?

If you had IIS, I'd suggest bouncing w3svc. Sometimes IIS itself caches things in memory and it can take a good bit before it cleans up by itself (though it WILL eventually clear it's own cache).

I've had this exact problem (Win2k, TS 5.5.2) and bouncing w3svc did the trick for me. Your mileage may vary though.
