Has anyone done an integration between TeamSite and Idiom WorldServer?

I haven't done it, but watched a webinar the other day. Idiom has a custom menu item kicks off the process. In the demo we saw, you select content from the staging area, it then copies content to a workarea, where the translation occurs, is approved, and submitted.
This is something provided by Idiom, not IWOV.

I've also seen the Idiom integration - its very straightforward. I believe it was with triggers. However, it would be simple to tie in an Interwoven Workflow to an Idiom workflow, or do a number of possible modifications if desired.

Hi John,
I hope the following helps.
Idiom's integration with TeamSite (Content Center in 6.0) is straightforward. There are many integration points but the 2 most common are as follows:
1) Direct calls to Idiom from Teamsite Web Client via the Idiom APIs. This allows users familiar with TeamSite to call to Idiom to perform tasks on content items such as "Project Scoping", "Project Creation", and "Translation Workbench".
2) The second is from Idiom into Interwoven. Idiom connectors allow Idiom to connect to any content store (file system, database, Interwoven and other CMS systems). This allows users of Idiom to view the Iwov mount points and assets and access them for translation work.
About workflows:
Idiom has a gui interface to create easy workflows that can integrate seamlessly through what Idiom calls "automatic actions" (programmable workflow steps). However, the workflow process can be totally controlled with Interwoven where the only workflow piece for Idiom would be the translate and vendor management update pieces.
Keep in mind that all content resides in Interwoven and STAYS in interwoven during any translation work. Idiom plays the data where it lies. There is no "export" from Interwoven, "import" into Idiom, and then "export" Idiom and "import" into Interwoven methodologies employed.
There will be an Intewoven/Idiom webinar next Wednesday. Check out the web site (http:

) for registration information.
Mark.
