IE 5.5 crashes

On working on a DCR and trying to close the template IE crashes with message

"Microsoft internet explorer encounter a problem and needs a restart....." and closes all my browsers.

This is really annoying problem.Is the problem with VF or IE?

Is it something to do with any memory requiement?

What happens if you remove the item with VFE? Does it work?

There are lot of posts around security packs and VFE support.

Yes if i remove VFE i tworks fine.I have no problems.But i want to use VFE.
What are the patches needed?
