OD lies about the links it deploys

Using OD 5.6.

Solaris client sending to a windows host from a unix filesystem.

We have the followLinks set to yes. The source filesystem has 13 relative links. According to the OD log, 13 links are deployed, but when we look at the windows host, only 8 are actually deployed. There is no other indications in the log that anything has gone wrong, and we don't know what has happened to the other 5.

(A) There are a number of problems with followLinks - I thought it had been removed as an option
(B) Please post - as attachments - both the sender-side and receiver-side logfiles for the deployment in question, and the deployment configuration file.
