iwmetadata.cgi starting in single file view

I can't seem to get the metadata tagging form of iwmetadata.cgi to start in "single document to tag" mode.

Any configuration allow this - keen to reduce the input form to the tagging fields only (without the file list).

Any ideas?

In what context are you running this?
From a custom menu item? [is there more than one file selected in the UI]
From a cgitask script in a workflow? [is there more than one file associated with the task}

I am not sure if this is what you are looking for, but that you can configue default view mode for metadata capture in iw.cfg:

[iwmetadata_default_mode]
view=file
#view=rule
